BEFORE YOU LEND Confirm the item is in the condition you described, that you know of no undisclosed material defect, and that it appears reasonably safe for its intended use. Include manuals, guards, accessories and any PPE the item needs. Photograph the item and its condition at handoff. Higher-risk categories require a longer checklist. BEFORE YOU RENT Read the safe-use instructions and safety rules on the listing. Confirm you have the required PPE, the training or license the item needs, and a lawful place to use it. Do not exceed rated capacity. Inspect the item at handoff and photograph anything that concerns you. You may refuse handoff if the item looks unsafe. DURING THE RENTAL Use the item only as intended and lawfully. Stop using it if it becomes unsafe, and tell the lender through SpareRents. Keep the item secured against theft. RETURN Return the item on time through an authorized method, clean and complete. Document the return with photographs. If a lender-approved unattended drop-off location is unsafe or inaccessible, keep the item and contact the lender through SpareRents. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG Report a safety issue or injury through the safety reporting page and include photographs, videos or documents where relevant. Reporting an incident is not an admission of liability by anyone. We may restrict a listing or an account while we review. WHAT SPARERENTS DOES NOT DO SpareRents does not inspect, repair, store, transport or certify items, does not certify operator competence or licensing, and is not an insurer.
